About these listings
Questions guests ask
HostBird builds the page and the search. The host owns the home, sets the price and takes the booking.
What hosts use HostBird for- Who are these properties hosted by?
- Independent owners who run their own short-term rentals and publish a page for each one through HostBird. HostBird is the software; the host is who you stay with.
- Can I book here?
- Not on this page. Each listing links to the host's own page, which links to wherever they take bookings: Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com or their own site. You deal with the host directly.
- Why are locations shown as an area, not a pin?
- Every home is drawn as a circle a few hundred metres across rather than at its address. The host shares the exact location once you have booked, which keeps an empty house from being findable from a map.
- Why do some listings not show a price?
- Prices on Airbnb and Vrbo change daily and a page cannot promise a number it does not control, so showing one is the host's choice. The host's page always says where to find the live rate.
